Over the past two weeks, I’ve embarked on an exciting journey through Belize, Victoria, Tofino, Pender Island, and everything in between. This adventure to Belize was a special trip shared with my sister, as we ventured without the kids this time. However, this is just the beginning of our travel plans. In March, we’ll be taking the kids along for a month-long adventure in Belize. They’re great little travelers, but as any parent knows, the more hands on deck, the better!

For now, we’re living in my friend Kevin’s charming house on the hill until February 15th. After that, we’ll be moving to a different location for two weeks before we head off to Belize. My kids, aged 1, 3, 4, and 12, have grown up surrounded by travel and adventure, which has helped shape their adventurous spirits.

Traveling with a larger family can be extremely stressful, and I’ll be the first to admit that there are moments of chaos—especially when multiple kids require attention at once. However, kids are incredibly resilient and have an innate love for exploring new places. These adventures keep them excited and engaged, and I wouldn’t trade these experiences for anything.

Yes, I do have moments of high stress, but I’ve learned that these feelings typically last for just a few minutes. A stressful situation may feel like it’s stretching on forever, but in reality, it’s fleeting. Ultimately, the joy of travel and the memories we create far outweigh those brief moments of chaos.

So, join us on our adventures as we continue to explore Belize, head to Calgary, and then return to our little island on the coast for a summer full of exploration and fun!
